PLANET Bourgogne, a French software development firm, specializes in custom tech solutions for global clients. Brevo partnered with the company to address unique Enterprise challenges, including a custom API Proxy developed for a worldwide telecommunications company that recently became a Brevo client.

PLANET Bourgogne was drawn to the platform’s technical capabilities. Impressed by Brevo’s professionalism, they eagerly took on the challenge of designing a custom solution for Brevo’s client.
The Enterprise client was eager to use Brevo’s email marketing and transactional email features but needed to integrate their internal message center with the platform. That’s where PLANET Bourgogne came in.

The Brevo platform wasn’t compatible with the client’s legacy message center due to hook-related issues. Hooks communicate key information, such as email delivery and bounce statuses, between platforms. PLANET Bourgogne’s task was to design a custom, secure API proxy capable of handling these hooks.

Given the client’s high email volume—up to 50 million emails daily—the solution had to be robust. PLANET Bourgogne developed a system to support 150 million hooks per day, storing, flagging, transforming, and delivering the data to the client’s message center through the new API.
Through a collaborative effort between Brevo, PLANET Bourgogne, and the client, a tailor-made solution was successfully delivered. The custom-built API now enables the client to process email data directly in their message center, effortlessly supporting up to 50 million emails daily and 2,000 hooks per second.

PLANET Bourgogne’s unique approach to solution design proved invaluable. “We’re happy to accept challenging, unusual projects,” shared David Juras, head of software development. Their process began with a stakeholder meeting to align on expectations, followed by a proof of concept delivered within three weeks.

Brevo ensured smooth communication throughout the project, with regular meetings and checkpoints to align the solution with the platform and the client’s specifications. Shortly after, the hooks proxy was successfully implemented, integrating the legacy message center with Brevo.

For the client, this partnership offered a hassle-free, innovative solution to a complex challenge. With Brevo and PLANET Bourgogne’s expertise, the telecommunications giant can now fully utilize Brevo’s platform to achieve their email marketing goals with confidence.
