What’s New?
Until now, users could only personalize automated SMS messages using data from the trigger action. Now, any event data can be used to personalize messages, opening the door for more creative, dynamic communications.
What impact does this have?
- More relevant messaging. Incorporate customer data from previous interactions and touchpoints to make messages resonate with their customer journey.
- Improved efficiency. Simplify the automation process while at the same time making campaigns richer.
How does it work?
Event selector for SMS personalization: Select from a range of events, just like you do when sending emails. Craft SMS messages with data from events such as "Cart Updated," even if another event initiated the workflow.
Use cases
Enhance abandoned cart reminders
When sending an SMS triggered by a "Checkout started", include data from “Cart updated” to pull the cart amount and show the real-time cart value.
Update customers on their loyalty status in purchase confirmations
When sending an SMS with a shipping confirmation (triggered by “Order placed”), include an update on the customer's remaining loyalty points using an event “loyalty balance” to update customers on their new rewards balance.
