Addressing environmental impact is more important than ever for consumers, businesses, and the SaaS industry. In early 2020, Brevo launched a project to calculate its carbon footprint and identify ways to become more sustainable.
We joined the French Climate Act initiative, which guided us in assessing both direct and indirect emissions measuring additional indirect emissions—from data centers, employee travel, and even user devices—because we believe businesses must fully understand and reduce their environmental impact.
Our carbon footprint calculation is done and validated by an external company that guarantees its liability.
Our goals for assessing our carbon footprint:
- Calculate our carbon footprint, as completely and precisely as possible
- Compare the emissions of email to other online communication channels as well as offline channels
- Identify concrete areas for improvement and define a strategy

- Develop our CSR purchasing policy.
- Develop features to reduce our platform’s carbon impact
